JOB TITLE: Freelance Photo Assistant

JOB SUMMARY

The Freelance Photo Assistant is responsible for assisting our photographer shooting our products during on and off-figure photoshoots. Typical hours for this position is 8:30a to 5:00p. This position is not full time and is booked on an as needed basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

● Great understanding and application of photography and lighting techniques

● Support the photographer(s) on set during photo sessions to move/focus lights, set up sets, load in/out equipment, troubleshoot, etc.

● Communicate with client to understand their needs and wants

● Stay up to date with the latest techniques, equipment and the best practices, tools, and technology in your field

● Knowledge of Einstein lights and Capture One on a Mac

● Occasional digitech help on set

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

● Experience working with children, all models are between the ages of 3 and 16 years of age

● Experience photo assisting in a commercial studio

● Excellent knowledge of Canon R5 and 5D4, Capture One program, and Paul Buff Einstein lights and accessories

● Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

● Superior attention to detail

● Customer oriented with a proactive and positive attitude

● Excellent people skills

● Exceptional verbal communication and listening skills

● Reliable with the ability to adapt to changing conditions

● Ability to work under pressure in deadline-driven environment

● Operating within health and safety regulations

● Live within driving distance of our studio - St. Louis (Maplewood) area
