Job Description:

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the DC Supervisor’s primary focus will be on outbound activities (shipments and people), but will learn and support inbound activities as needed. We use a state of the art robotic goods to person automatic storage and retrieval system to manage our inventory and picking systems. Our air conditioned facility is located in St. Louis. DC teams work a number of different shifts, with this role scheduled Tuesday-Friday, 6:00am-4:30pm.

Essential Job Functions:

Safety and maintaining a clean, orderly work environment is your first priority

Manages and continually improves the pick and pack outbound staff with its automated picking and movement systems

Leads assigned team/staff by directing their day to day activities, monitoring performance and providing daily feedback

Participates in developing and improving warehouse SOP’s and ensures staff training

Develops improvement ideas that the warehouse team can work to implement

Approves timecards and time-off requests via HRIS/Paycom system

Ensures staffing levels adhere to budget objectives

Regularly strategizes with Director/Warehouse Manager to develop and execute company and area goals, budgets and programs

Has responsibility of actively coaching and counseling employees and maintaining required documentation

Assists Inbound team as needed with receiving and put away functions, including unloading of overseas containers and domestic goods

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to adapt, thrive and lead by example in a rapidly changing hands on environment

Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

Must possess leadership skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a team environment

Good written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Education, Experience, and Certifications:

High school diploma/GED required

3 or more years of warehouse or material handling experience

1 year minimum of people leadership experience

Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)

Familiarity with Lawson M3 is a plus
